The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kositzky closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Regan quickly recovers to half guard.
Kositzky is thwarting Regan's attempts to control the position.

Kositzky is trying to control. Regan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kositzky prevents Regan from improving his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kositzky content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Regan tries to roll over but Kositzky keeps him under control.

Regan trying to control from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kositzky stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Regan leaves Kositzky with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kositzky drives through and clinches with Regan against the ropes.

Kositzky breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Regan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kositzky closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Regan trying to control here.
Kositzky wants to stand but Regan has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Regan pushes Kositzky off looking to stand but Kositzky dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kositzky seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Regan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Regan is concentrating on defense, preventing Kositzky from advancing position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Regan tries to roll over but Kositzky keeps him under control.
Regan is trying is best to control the position here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kositzky perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Regan is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Regan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kositzky counters with a series of strikes. Regan will be more careful next time no doubt.

Regan wants to sweep here but Kositzky controlling him for the moment.
Kositzky trying to stand up but can't free himself from Regan's guard.

Regan keeping moving, preventing Kositzky from controlling successfully.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kositzky stopping the sweep attempt from Regan.

Regan is wriggling around but Kositzky manages to pass to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Regan is looking for a sweep. Kositzky is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Paul Kositzky showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kositzky has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
