The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
StPierre is trying hard to land a takedown here. MacArthur sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
MacArthur tries to sprawl but StPierre drives through with a takedown into half guard.
StPierre not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
StPierre looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

StPierre seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead MacArthur has recovered full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
MacArthur has StPierre pulled in close to control his posture.

Let's hope that MacArthur has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
StPierre avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Shawn MacArthur wasn't active enough on the ground.
StPierre shoots in looking for a takedown but MacArthur manages to keep the fight standing, pushing StPierre's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

MacArthur throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. StPierre tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. MacArthur is in StPierre's guard.
StPierre had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. MacArthur defends it easily.
MacArthur is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

MacArthur postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! StPierre is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of MacArthur, into his guard.

MacArthur is looking to sinch up a triangle. StPierre throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to MacArthur's body to avoid the submission. MacArthur has instead reached around StPierre's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! MacArthur arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
