The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Araujo sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Araujo has his takedown stuffed

and Gracie counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Araujo!
Araujo is wriggling around trying to escape.

Gracie wants to finish this one by submission but Araujo is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gracie.
Araujo regains half guard.
Araujo avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gracie.
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Araujo keeps working.

Gracie is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Araujo defends it well.

Gracie wants to work for an arm triangle but Araujo is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Araujo has his hands clasped together around Gracie's back. He's all about the action.
Gracie lands strikes from half guard.
Araujo looks like he's trying to stand up.
Araujo is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Araujo wants to control but Gracie is keeping busy and won't allow it.
