Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mick Drury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laurel Aitken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aitken has chosen Two Joints- Sublime as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drury slips a jab from Aitken.
Aitken throws a shot from downtown. Drury moves away and avoids it.
Mick Drury seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drury lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Drury steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Aitken.

Aitken moves out of range as Drury strikes.
Drury cracks Aitken with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Aitken rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Drury moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Aitken lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Drury has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Drury and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Aitken counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Drury postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Drury keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Aitken's head.

Drury stands up and waves to Aitken to follow him.

and Aitken makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Drury thuds his right hand into Aitken's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Aitken tries to pull guard but Drury holds him up against the cage and eventually Aitken drops back down to his feet.

Aitken breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Drury closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Drury lands in his opponent's guard.
Drury wants to control from the top but Aitken keeps moving.
Aitken wants to stand but Drury is controlling the position.

Aitken pulls Drury in close to prevent any damage.

Drury drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Drury seems to have locked his on tight now - Aitken screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Drury, as he picks up the win!
