Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Max Raid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Beat You !
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
You shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Raid pinned against the cage. Raid gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
You fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
No joy there for Raid, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

You gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Raid to score an easy takedown into full guard.

You is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
You working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Raid.
Raid looking to pass the guard.

You looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
You keeping moving, preventing Raid from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You working for a triangle but Raid defends it easily.

Raid trying to control the position from guard on top but You is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

You is looking for a triangle but Raid pushes his legs off easily.

You escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Raid gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

You has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Raid can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Raid gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Raid has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics You uses from the top position.

Raid scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Raid closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. You quickly recovers to half guard.
You on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Raid is thwarting You 's attempts to control the position.
Raid winds up and cracks You with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Raid landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Raid looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks You with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Raid seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but You does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
It looks like Raid is going to stand back up.
Raid frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
You throwing hammer fists to the chest of Raid. What's that going to do exactly?

You tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
You tries to lock up and control but Raid gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
You is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
You sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

You is looking to control Raid's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can You avoid being mounted?

Raid seems to be working for a kimura but You defends the submission attempt.
You throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Raid is keen to just control but You is a slippery customer.
Raid tries to pass the half guard into mount. You knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Max Raid overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
You is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
