Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Thomas Black!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hodges tries to avoid it but Black manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hodges to the ground. Hodges escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hodges displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Black.
Black wants to clinch up but Hodges keeps it at a distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Black is defended easily by Hodges.
Gerald Hodges has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Thomas Black.
Hodges throws a low kick but Black avoids it.
Black tries to clinch there but Hodges circles away.

Black shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hodges but Hodges pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Black tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hodges swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A big left from Hodges misses.
Hodges lands with a right hand.

It looks like Mike Thomas Black has been cut.
Hodges lets loose with a powerful body kick. Black will feel that in the morning.
Black looks gassed!

Black is trying desperately to land a takedown but Hodges is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Black.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Hodges - that will leave a mark!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Hodges! Black is out on his feet! Hodges rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Black is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Black is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
