Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Cyrod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rango Spear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cyrod comes to the cage accompanied by HATERZ EVERYWHERE. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spear closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cyrod circles away.
Cyrod misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Spear shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cyrod defends it nicely.
Spear fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cyrod avoids it really well and circles away.
Johnny Cyrod has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rango Spear.
Cyrod throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Spear.
Danga de danga de dang - Cyrod scores with a four punch combination!

It looks like Rango Spear has been cut.
Cyrod throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Cyrod displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Spear.
Cyrod swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cyrod is breathing heavily.
Cyrod throws a combination. Spear tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Spear fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Spear takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Cyrod connects with a body shot.
Cyrod lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Cyrod stuns Spear with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Spear closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cyrod circles away.
Cyrod misses with a series of wild punches.
Cyrod lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Spear drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Cyrod's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Spear tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Cyrod is looking to regain half guard here but Spear keeps moving and retains side control.

Spear is working to tighten is grip on Cyrod's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Cyrod has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Spear is really squeezing tight and eventually Cyrod passes out! Spear breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
