The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hero throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Thomas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hero.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hero swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Thomas counter with a right hand.
Thomas lands a nice hook to Hero's body. Hero takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hero.
Hero takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Thomas catches Hero with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Thomas works over Hero's head and body with a nice combination.
Hero has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Thomas finds it's way round the side to connect with Hero's head.
Hero doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Thomas throws a right and a left that both miss.
Thomas works Hero's body with a nice hook.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The crowd cheers as Thomas lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hero doesn't seem phased though.
Left hook, right uppercut from Thomas.
A nice combination there by Thomas.
The Hero's cut is getting worse.
Thomas drops Hero with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Hero looks back up at him and smiles so Thomas waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darius Thomas dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action!
BOOM! Thomas lands a beautiful left hook that drops Hero. Hero tries to recover but Thomas is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Hero lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Darius Thomas!
Darius Thomas is the new light heavyweight champion!
