Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wacko Warner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Roy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roy has chosen I'm Too Sexy as his entrance music. Rob Roy is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wacko Warner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rob Roy!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warner misses with a few strikes there.

Roy scores a takedown into full mount!

Roy goes for an armbar but Warner turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Warner.
Warner is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Warner stands and throws Roy's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Roy manages to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Warner throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Warner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Roy keeps working.

Warner wants to work for an arm triangle but Roy is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Roy regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Warner.
Warner throws a big right hand that misses.
Warner seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Warner trying to control the position from guard on top but Roy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Roy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Warner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Warner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Roy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Warner as he jumps to the side.
Roy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Warner sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Warner lands a nice shot to the body.
Roy shoots in looking for a takedown. Warner tries to sprawl out of it but Roy keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Warner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wacko Warner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob Roy.
Warner lands the left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Roy ducks right into an uppercut from Warner.

Warner lands a left and a right that sends Roy crashing to the canvas! Warner dives into mount looking to finish!


Roy is rocked!
Roy wants to control but Warner is having none of it.
Roy is still in real trouble! Can Warner finish him?
Roy can't escape the position.
Warner misses with a head shot.
Roy seems to have recovered his senses.

Warner content just to control the position here.
Roy wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Warner.

Warner tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Warner tries to control but Roy wriggling away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Roy tries to lock up and control but Warner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Warner moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Roy has worked his arm free - good work by Roy!
Roy regains half guard.
Warner passes to side control.
Warner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Warner lands a decent elbow from side control.
Warner wants to control but Roy is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roy is looking to regain half guard here but Warner keeps moving and retains side control.

Roy is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Roy trying to remain calm as Warner controls from the top position.
Warner throws a strike aimed at the side of Roy's head but Roy avoids it well.

Roy is not content to let Warner control the position.
Warner in side control, throwing shots but Roy defends.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Warner scores with a couple of short elbows.
Roy parries the strikes from Warner easily there. Warner is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Roy to escape.
Roy looks to move to half guard but instead Warner has passed into mount! Damn!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Warner cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Roy is in a horrible position here. Warner smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Warner tries to control but Roy wriggling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wacko Warner dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Warner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Warner wants it to stay on the feet.
Roy steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Warner.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Warner lands a nice shot to the body.
Warner cracks the inside of Roy's front leg.

Warner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Roy manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Roy takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
No luck for Roy with that takedown attempt.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Warner.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Warner uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Warner shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Warner cracks a nice hook into Roy's ribs.
Warner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Roy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wacko Warner is winning the standup battle so far.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Roy closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Roy is defended easily by Warner.
Wacko Warner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob Roy.
Roy has a takedown stuffed.
Rob Roy has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wacko Warner is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Roy moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Warner cracks Roy with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

And that's the end of the fight!
Wacko Warner showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Warner has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
