Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Kenny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jorma Juntti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juntti has chosen Pantera - Cemetery Gates as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jorma Juntti has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jorma Juntti!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juntti throws a hook but Kenny blocks it.

Juntti gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kenny tries to free his leg and advance position but Juntti is retaining full guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Steve Kenny will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kenny closes the distance and clinches up with Juntti, looking for a takedown. Kenny pushes Juntti against the cage but Juntti circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kenny shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kenny showed some decent athleticism there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kenny connects with a nice short shot to Juntti's temple.

Juntti thuds his right hand into Kenny's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Kenny walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Juntti throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kenny lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kenny, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
