The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

sanchez shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
sanchez is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
sanchez wants to take a breather but Blacksmith is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blacksmith is trying to stand back up but sanchez is controlling him

sanchez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Blacksmith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for sanchez on the ground.
sanchez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Blacksmith knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Blacksmith tries to get to full guard but sanchez has control of the leg.

sanchez perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

cain sanchez has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
sanchez misses with the combination.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Blacksmith scores with the left hand. sanchez knows he should have avoided that one.
sanchez misses with a few strikes there.

Blacksmith tries to keep at a distance but sanchez has taken the fight into the clinch.
Blacksmith wants to break the clinch but can't.

Blacksmith is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Blacksmith's face as he tries to break the clinch.
sanchez tries to pull guard but Blacksmith won't allow it.
sanchez has Blacksmith pressed against the cage, preventing Blacksmith from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
sanchez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Blacksmith pulls him back up using the underhooks.
sanchez drops down looking for an ankle pick but Blacksmith pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bo Blacksmith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of cain sanchez .

Blacksmith lands a big uppercut and sanchez crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but sanchez looks OK. Blacksmith waves sanchez back to his feet!

Blacksmith finds sanchez 's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! sanchez flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Blacksmith lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure sanchez will be OK.
