Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Rene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rene comes to the cage accompanied by Billionaire. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter moves away from the strike by Rene.
Rene swinging wildly here.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Rene cracks Carter with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

It looks like Mac Carter has been cut.
Rene misses with a looping left.
Carter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rene as he avoids it easily.
Jab by Rene.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A swing and a miss from Rene.
Rene throws a jab but it's blocked by Carter.
Rene connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

That has opened up Mac Carter's cut even more.
Rene just misses with a punch to the body.
Carter shoots for a double leg takedown but Rene sprawls well. He's pushed Carter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rene. Carter does a little dance to reset his feet.

Carter moves out of range of the strikes.
Rene uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

The cut above Mac Carter's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Carter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rene.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Carter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rene's waist but Rene gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carter off to one side.
Shane Rene has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mac Carter.
Carter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rene sprawls well. Rene wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carter gets slowly back to his feet.
Carter shoots in for a takedown but Rene shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Carter tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Rene is able to avoid easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rene is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Carter shoots in and drives through. Rene sprawls well.
Nice takedown defense from Rene. No joy for Carter on that attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Carter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rene.
Rene jabbing away but nothing is landing.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Carter circles away from the clinch attempt.
Carter defending well as Rene loads up on a big left hand.
Carter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Carter slips under a jab from Rene.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carter misses with a takedown attempt - Rene sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Carter moves out of range of the strikes.

Rene tries to close the distance and clinch up but Carter swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rene throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Rene is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Rene throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shane Rene is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rene throws a hook to the side of Carter's head but Carter sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
The fighters circling - Rene throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rene throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Carter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Carter avoids a kick to the body.
Carter moves out of range as Rene strikes.
Carter is trying desperately to land a takedown but Rene is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Carter.
Carter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rene's waist but Rene gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carter off to one side.
Carter throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Carter misses with a takedown attempt - Rene sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Shane Rene has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mac Carter.

Rene tries to clinch there but Carter circles away.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Carter might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Rene has got the better of the exchanges.

Mac Carter's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mac Carter's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
