PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Lytle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Striker's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hustle Hard. Lytle has chosen misery business as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lytle swivels and escapes.
Striker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lytle is fending him off so far but Striker persists. Nope, Lytle circles away and we're back to standing.
Lytle connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Striker's hands.

It looks like John Striker has been cut.
Lytle rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Striker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Striker lands a high kick!

It looks like Chris Lytle has been cut.

Striker drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lytle throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Lytle stalks Striker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Striker's face. Striker staggers backwards, shaken.
Lytle takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lytle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lytle lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Lytle scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Striker dodges the punch combination from Lytle.
Lytle lands a lovely overhand right.

Chris Lytle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Striker throws a leg kick
and Lytle counters with a three punch combo that has Striker backing up. Striker nods at Lytle to acknowledge the strikes.
Lytle lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Striker circles away quickly and effectively.
Lytle lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Striker is rocked!
Lytle throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Striker stumbling backwards into the cage! Striker bounces back off the cage towards Lytle, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Lytle lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Lytle celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
