Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dersu Uzala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Uzala scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Uzala is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Franklin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Uzala is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Franklin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Uzala thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Franklin manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Franklin looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Franklin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Uzala's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Uzala's back!

Uzala is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Franklin gets his way!

Franklin is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Uzala defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Uzala trying to control but not successfully.
Uzala finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes.
Franklin throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Uzala because Franklin loaded up on that one.
Uzala tries to reverse the position but Franklin maintains control.

Uzala bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Uzala tries for a kimura but Franklin is defending well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Franklin tries to improve position but can't.

Uzala working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
