Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Heartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heartman comes to the cage accompanied by Heartman Theme song. John Heartman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Silver!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silver shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Heartman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Silver avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Silver wants to control from the top but Heartman keeps moving.

Heartman looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Silver trying to control but Heartman is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silver gets to his feet. Heartman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Heartman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Heartman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Silver has escaped the position, nice work there.

Heartman looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Heartman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Silver, who protects the arm well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Heartman is looking to take a break and control but Silver is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Silver throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Heartman throws a solid leg kick but Silver takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Heartman.

and Heartman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Silver is staying active underneath Heartman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Heartman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Heartman is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Heartman goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Silver turns into him and now he's in Heartman's guard.

Silver stays in close to Heartman's body and controls the position.
Silver wants to control from the top but Heartman keeps moving.

Heartman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silver can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Heartman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silver doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silver manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Silver is looking to stand up but Heartman won't let him.

Heartman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silver is aware though and is defending well.
Heartman can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Silver controls the pace.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Heartman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
