Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Scott Jerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimbo Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimbo Cain will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jerman fails with the takedown.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cain looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cain throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Cain moves into the clinch.
Cain connects with a nasty looking knee right to Jerman's face.
It looks like Scott Jerman has been cut.
Cain wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cain tries to work over Jerman's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Cain manages to break the clinch.
Jerman swats away the attempt to clinch by Cain.
Jerman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cain napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Jerman wants to control but Cain is keeping him busy.
Cain pushes Jerman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jerman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Cain is looking to clinch but Jerman is avoiding it.
Jerman looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Cain!
Jerman throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Cain because Jerman loaded up on that one.
Cain wants to hold on but Jerman pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jerman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Cain sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cain pushes Jerman off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jerman is desperately trying to improve his position but Cain has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cain cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Jerman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Cain is standing up, even though he is in mount.

so Jerman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Cain escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jerman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jerman is looking to stand up but Cain won't let him.

Kimbo Cain is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Scott Jerman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Cain is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jerman defends well.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Scott Jerman.
I think Cain has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
