Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helio Graicie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Helio Graicie has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Graicie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mouse sprawls well initially but Graicie persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Graicie is working for an americana but Mouse has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Graicie was thinking about the submission.
Mouse looking for a sweep. Not yet Mouse, not yet.

Graicie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mouse is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mouse has escaped and now he's on top!
Graicie can't keep his opponent in guard - Mouse advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Graicie is trying to get back to full guard.

Mouse wants to free his trapped foot but Graicie is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Mouse is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Mouse is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Graicie defends it well.

Mouse is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Graicie doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mouse.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Graicie is defending against the submission attempts here by Mouse.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mouse is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Mouse is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Graicie is just riding it out for now. Mouse eventually gives up the hold.
Graicie is trying to maintain the position but Mouse is very close to passing his half guard.

Mouse works his foot free and advances to mount.

Mouse moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Graicie has worked his arm free - good work by Graicie!

Mouse is trying to get an arm triangle but Graicie is defending well.
Mouse tries to move into full mount but can't pass Graicie's legs.
Mouse advances nicely into full mount.

Graicie tries to hold on but Mouse postures up.

Mouse jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Graicie is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Graicie and Mouse has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Mouse swings around for an armbar but Graicie sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mouse's guard.

Graicie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mouse manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Graicie has Mouse in his guard.
Graicie can't keep his opponent in guard - Mouse advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jerry Mouse dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Graicie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Graicie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mouse swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mouse tries to score a power double leg takedown but Graicie sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mouse somewhat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mouse avoids a punch combination nicely.

Graicie moves into the clinch.
Graicie blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Mouse tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Helio Graicie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jerry Mouse.

Graicie is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Mouse frees his head nicely. Oh but Graicie has switched to an armbar! Mouse is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
