The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erlanderson blocks a head kick by Halo.
Halo connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

It looks like Hendrix Erlanderson has been cut.
Halo connects with a high kick.
Halo finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Halo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Erlanderson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Halo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Erlanderson circles away quickly and effectively.

Halo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Erlanderson.

Halo feints and then cracks Erlanderson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Erlanderson down.
Halo dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Erlanderson. That did some damage!

Halo bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Halo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

The cut above Hendrix Erlanderson's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
A slapping body kick lands there for Halo.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Erlanderson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Halo throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Halo is trying to get an arm triangle but Erlanderson is defending well.

Halo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Erlanderson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Erlanderson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Halo moves into full mount! Erlanderson won't be happy about that!

Halo is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Erlanderson is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Erlanderson flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Halo anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Erlanderson and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Halo slips an arm under Erlanderson chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Halo has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Halo is squeezing on Erlanderson like an anaconda would it's prey. Erlanderson fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
