Sanchez comes into the arena with Cypress Hill - Tequila Sunrise blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vinicius The Killer! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez rushes The Killer and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Sanchez gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, The Killer regains guard.
Sanchez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The Killer is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sanchez controls from within his opponent's guard. Sanchez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The Killer has his foot on Sanchez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sanchez works his way back into a safe position though. Sanchez landing some decent shots from guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The Killer is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sanchez sitting in guard here, content to control. The Killer looking for a sweep. Not yet The Killer, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez advances to half guard. Sanchez works his foot free and advances to mount. Sanchez wants to finish this one by submission but The Killer is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Sanchez. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanchez postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. The Killer looks a forlorn figure.
Sanchez content just to control the position here. The Killer is trying desperately to improve position. Sanchez has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! The Killer is forced to tap!
