Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roger Motta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atlas Klaat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atlas Klaat will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Atlas Klaat!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Daniel Cesar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Klaat. That's going to slow Motta down.
Motta checks the leg kick.
Motta misses with a looping left.
Motta avoids the head kick by Klaat.
Klaat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Klaat takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Motta throws a jab when Klaat was well out of range.

Motta gets the takedown into side control.
Klaat manages to get back to half guard.

Klaat actively working from the bottom here.
The fighters are battling for position here. Klaat manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Motta has gone for a leg lock! Klaat slips out almost immediately though and dives into Motta's guard.

Motta looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Motta might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Motta is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Klaat would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Motta bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Klaat's guard.
Klaat not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Klaat working a defensive guard but Motta passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Motta is just content to waste time from the top position. Klaat takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Klaat has his foot on Motta's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Motta works his way back into a safe position though.

Motta drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Klaat dives on top into guard.

Motta has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Klaat can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Oh but Motta is tightening it up a little... Klaat has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Klaat reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Klaat taps out! nice BJJ there by Motta!
