The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
chiang tries to clinch up but Thurber circles away and keeps his distance.

Thurber has managed to clinch.
Thurber lands a right hand that snaps the head of chiang backwards.
Thurber working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Thurber stalls.
chiang goes for a takedown attempt but Thurber pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Thurber rushes chiang and presses him up against the cage.
chiang is working for takedown but Thurber is calmly controlling the position for now.

Thurber displaying some good clinch control by pressing chiang up against the cage.

Thurber has chiang pressed against the cage, preventing chiang from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
chiang tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Thurber just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jordan Thurber has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of kaishek chiang.
chiang has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Thurber lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
chiang takes a shot to the head.
chiang jumps guard but Thurber stands there with chiang around his waist. chiang gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Thurber lands a big right hand that drops chiang! The killer instinct kicks in and Thurber finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Thurber!
