Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Justin Sane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xv Jobber vX (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jobber vX has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Xv Jobber vX will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jobber vX blocks a head kick by Sane.
Sane stuffs the takedown attempt from Jobber vX. Jobber vX gets slowly back to his feet.
Sane looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Jobber vX shoots in for a takedown but Sane shows good takedown defense.
Sane pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Xv Jobber vX seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sane throws a head kick but Jobber vX moves out of range.
Jobber vX avoids the head kick by Sane.
Sane throws a head kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sane throws a sloppy head kick and Jobber vX moves out of range easily.

Jobber vX tries to clinch up but Sane circles away and keeps his distance.

Sane pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Sane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Sane throws a sloppy head kick and Jobber vX moves out of range easily.

Jobber vX seems to have recovered his senses.
Sane tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Sane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A head kick lands from Sane that sends Jobber vX to the canvas. Jobber vX tries to scramble back to his feet but Sane brings him back down into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sane content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Jobber vX tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sane moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sane's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Justin Sane.
