Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Da Cat drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Da Cat in side control, throwing shots but Basic defends.
Da Cat slows the pace down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Da Cat tries to advance to mount but can't.
Da Cat working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Basic takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Da Cat takes a little break here. Basic wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Basic is breathing heavily.

Da Cat is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Basic has escaped the position, nice work there.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee asks Da Cat politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Da Cat prefers to stall for the moment though.
Da Cat in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Basic parries the strikes from Da Cat easily there. Da Cat is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Basic to escape.
Da Cat sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Basic is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
A lull in the action here as Da Cat stalls from top position.
Da Cat throws an elbow but Basic slips to the side and avoids it well.
Da Cat is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Basic's shoulder. That is not cool.
Let's hope that Da Cat has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Tif Da Cat has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Da Cat shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Da Cat moves in looking to clinch but Basic pushes him off.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Da Cat has eaten all the pies!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Basic wants to get back to his feet.
Da Cat is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tif Da Cat wasn't active enough on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tif Da Cat was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Da Cat slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Da Cat has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Basic avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Da Cat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Basic swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Basic is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Da Cat wants to control from the top but Basic keeps moving.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

and Da Cat counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Basic's guard now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Basic. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tif Da Cat showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Da Cat is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Basic will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Da Cat stands and throws Basic's legs to the side, diving into side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tif Da Cat.

Well Da Cat has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
