Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Iain Durrant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucky Charm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Iain Durrant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lucky Charm!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice combination there by Durrant.
Charm misses with a jab, cross combination.
Durrant checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Charm swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Durrant counters with a takedown into side control.

Durrant goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Charm rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Durrant's guard! Nice work there by Charm!
Durrant wants to improve his position but instead Charm has moved into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Charm prevents Durrant from improving his position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Durrant looking for submissions off his back.
Durrant is trying to get back to full guard.

Charm postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Durrant to stand up.
Charm lands a leg kick that knocks Durrant off balance momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Charm will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Charm circles away from the clinch attempt.
No joy there for Charm, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Charm leaves Durrant with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Charm throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Charm scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Charm will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Charm misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Charm throws a left and a right that both miss
and Durrant counters with a straight right hand.
Durrant ducks right into an uppercut from Charm.
No luck for Durrant with that takedown attempt.
Durrant avoids a punch combination nicely.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Durrant counters with a nice double leg into side control. Charm won't be happy with that.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Charm is trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Durrant scores a takedown into full mount!
Charm is squirming around, avoiding Durrant's attempts to control the action.
Durrant thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Durrant looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Durrant swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Charm is now in Durrant's guard. A big mistake from Durrant there, giving up the dominant position!

Durrant has a closed guard, preventing Charm from standing up.
Durrant wants to sweep but no luck.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Durrant is on top in guard.
Durrant stops Charm from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Charm utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Charm wants to stand and escape but Durrant is having none of it.

Durrant has gone for a leg lock! Charm slips out almost immediately though and dives into Durrant's guard.
Charm wants to stand but Durrant has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Charm wants to stand and escape but instead Durrant has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Durrant shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Durrant was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Charm is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Durrant thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Durrant unloads with some shots from mount but Charm bucks and avoids them well.

Charm's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Durrant scoring with strikes but Charm is staying in there.
Durrant is looking to work his way around to Charm's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Charm is squirming around, avoiding Durrant's attempts to control the action.
Durrant misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Charm is in a horrible position here. Durrant smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Durrant jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Charm manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Iain Durrant is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Durrant trying to control the position but Charm is working away.
Durrant will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Durrant staying calm.

You can see the frustration on Charm's face as Durrant controls the position.
Charm is trying to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Iain Durrant.
Charm swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Durrant counters with a shoot takedown. Charm fights it but they end up in guard.
Durrant stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Charm swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Durrant, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
