Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stone Gossard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Bowden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gossard comes to the cage accompanied by A Daley BEAT DOWN - NWA. The key to victory for Stone Gossard has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Stone Gossard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Bowden!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bowden drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Bowden thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bowden takes a little break here. Gossard wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bowden is trying to get an arm triangle but Gossard is defending well.
Gossard prevents Bowden from moving into mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gossard tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gossard is working hard here to advance position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Bowden trying to control the position but Gossard is working away.
Bowden remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Gossard tries to improve position but can't.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gossard goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Bowden should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
A head kick from Gossard lands but Bowden takes it in his stride.
Gossard scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bowden in his tracks.
Gossard throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bowden's head.
Stone Gossard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gossard throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bowden's head.
Gossard throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Bowden throws a low kick, looking for Gossard's leg but Gossard calmly moves out of range.
Bowden tries for a takedown but Gossard sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Bowden looks gassed!
Bowden takes a kick to the side of the head.
A shot to the liver by Gossard. Beautiful body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bowden looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gossard throws out a powerful jab.
Bowden takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Gossard lands a high kick!
Bowden looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gossard is fending him off so far but Bowden persists. Nope, Gossard circles away and we're back to standing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gossard scores with a head kick.
Bowden takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Gossard sizes up Bowden with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Gossard throws a head kick that half lands.


Bowden is rocked!
Gossard fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Bowden.
Bowden is still on wobbly legs! Can Gossard finish him?
Gossard seems to be stalking Bowden here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Bowden drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Stone Gossard!
