Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cal Haron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Joe Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cal Haron!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Haron. No joy for Bob on that attempt.
Haron lands a jab to the nose.


It looks like Joe Bob has been cut.
Bob misses with a series of wild punches.

Bob gets caught flat footed, as Haron shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Haron pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bob is keeping the position for now.
Bob looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Haron wants to control from the top but Bob keeps moving.
Haron advances position into side control!
Haron wants to control but Bob is keeping him busy.
Bob is trying to improve his position.

Haron controls the position from side control.
Haron tries to advance to mount but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Haron stands up and beckons Bob to his feet.
Bob misses with a wild combination.

Haron shoots in and bounces Bob off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Haron wants to control from the top but Bob keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bob is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Haron gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Joe Bob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bob swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Bob closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Haron did well to prevent Bob getting side control.
Bob is breathing heavily.

Haron actively working from the bottom here.
Haron is refusing to be controlled, as Bob sits in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Haron is looking to escape.
Haron wants to control but Bob is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Bob missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Haron wants to get back to full guard.
Bob keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Haron looking for submissions off his back.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Bob scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A slow jab from Bob misses its intended target.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Haron looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bob is fending him off so far but Haron persists. Nope, Bob circles away and we're back to standing.
Haron wants to clinch.
Bob throws a combination. Haron tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Bob tries to close the distance and clinch but Haron swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Haron throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bob's head.
Bob works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Bob throws a right and a left that both miss.

Bob drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Haron throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bob escapes and throws Haron's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Bob lands a decent elbow from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cal Haron dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Joe Bob's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Some wild striking there from Bob.
Haron shoots in for a takedown but Bob shows good takedown defense.
Haron misses with a few strikes there.
Bob lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Haron backs up against the cage.
Bob throws a left and a right that both miss

and Haron counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Haron.

Haron has gone for a leg lock! Bob slips out almost immediately though and dives into Haron's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Haron looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bob is one step ahead there.
Haron has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bob decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Haron, up you get!
Bob jabs Haron right on the nose. Haron blinks but takes it well.

and Bob counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Haron tries to roll over but Bob keeps him under control.

Bob is putting a hurting on Haron here, landing some big shots from side control.
Bob tries to stand but Haron is controlling his head.
Haron manages to get back to half guard.
Bob is thwarting Haron's attempts to control the position.
Bob seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Haron does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bob passes into side control, despite Haron's attempt to control the position.
Bob controls the position.
Bob working the head with strikes.
Bob in side control, throwing shots but Haron defends.
Haron is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bob is controlling him well.
Haron struggling a bit here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Haron closes the distance and pushes Bob back into the cage.
Bob stops a takedown attempt from Haron.
Joe Bob has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cal Haron.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bob has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Haron avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Haron lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
The referee is keeping an eye on Haron - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Bob tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Haron successfully pulls guard.
Bob has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Haron can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bob controls the pace.
Haron controls Bob momentarily but Bob frees himself.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Joe Bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Haron is trying to control the position but Bob postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Bob fails to land with a series of punches.

Bob rushes Haron and presses him up against the cage.
Bob jumps guard but Haron stands there with Bob around his waist. Bob gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Haron pulls Bob into guard.
Haron managing to control the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Haron trying to control but Bob is working from the bottom.
Bob is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bob keeping moving, preventing Haron from controlling successfully.
Bob on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bob tries to get out of the position.
Bob has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Haron has passed into side control.
Haron has knee on belly and moves into mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bob is looking to get to half guard.
Haron misses with a head shot.
Bob tries to reverse the position but Haron maintains control.
Bob taking shots to the head.
Haron can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bob is looking to escape.
Bob might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Haron gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Nice straight punches there by Bob. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Bob.
Haron shoots in for a double leg but Bob sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Haron shoots in looking for a takedown. Bob tries to sprawl out of it but Haron keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bob manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Haron walks into a left hand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Haron feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cal Haron comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Haron has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
