The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Brooke jr or perhaps it was just good defense by Aomi which made him look bad.
Aomi tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Aomi with a lazy takedown attempt
and Brooke jr decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Aomi's guard.
Aomi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brooke jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Aomi looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Brooke jr passes into half guard.
Brooke jr is looking to advance position but Aomi won't allow it.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Aomi pushes a forearm under Brooke jr's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Brooke jr is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
