Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson scores with a nice head shot.

It looks like Chael Sonnen has been cut.
Nice uppercut there from Jackson.
Sonnen tries to clinch but Jackson is having none of it.

Sonnen moves into the clinch.
Jackson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sonnen has him pressed against the ropes.
Jackson is trying to force a seperation but Sonnen has the dominant position.
Jackson gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Sonnen.
Sonnen can't get the takedown.
Jackson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Sonnen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jackson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Michael Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chael Sonnen.
Sonnen keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jackson's efforts to push away.
Jackson gets underhooks to prevent Sonnen's takedown attempt.
Sonnen changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jackson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Sonnen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sonnen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Jackson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sonnen.
Sonnen walks into a left hand.
Sonnen wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance.
Jackson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Sonnen at a distance.
Jackson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sonnen looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jackson lands with an uppercut that bounces Sonnen off the ropes and back into rage.

A left and a right from Jackson both land. Nice combination.
Jackson connects with a superb combination that knocks Sonnen out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Jackson before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Sonnen!
