The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch up.
Andrews blocks a head kick by Silva.
Silva looks for a takedown but Andrews sprawls well.
Andrews throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Andrews lands with a hook. Silva tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Silva shoots in for a double leg but Andrews sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Silva takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Andrews displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silva.
Mike Andrews has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Silva.
Silva misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Andrews avoids the head kick by Silva.
Silva looks gassed!
Andrews scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Silva is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Andrews is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Silva is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
