Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Allen Singson!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Singson moves into the clinch.
Singson lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.


It looks like Sergio Reyes has been cut.

Singson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Reyes swats away the attempt to clinch by Singson.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Reyes.
Singson wants to clinch.
Singson scores with a decent looking hook.
Some wild striking there from Singson.
Singson is looking to score with low kicks.

Singson has closed the distance and engaged Reyes in a clinch.

Reyes fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Singson jumps guard and drags Reyes to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Singson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Singson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Singson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reyes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Singson holds on and takes a little breather.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Singson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Singson tries to close the distance and clinch but Reyes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Singson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
A lull in the action here as Singson stalls from top position.
Reyes misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Singson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Reyes tries to bench press Singson off him but Singson keeps the position.
Singson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Reyes trying to remain calm as Singson controls from the top position.

Singson decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Reyes keeps the fight on the outside.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Singson throws a right and a left that both miss.

Singson forces Reyes back against the cage and clinches.
Singson wants to stall.
Reyes fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Singson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Reyes moves out of range of the body kick from Singson.
Reyes avoids the head kick by Singson.

Singson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Singson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Reyes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Singson walks away with a smile on his face. Reyes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Reyes blocks a head kick by Singson.
Sergio Reyes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Reyes swats away the attempt to clinch by Singson.

A head kick from Singson lands but Reyes takes it in his stride.
Allen Singson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Singson closes the distance and pushes Reyes back into the cage.
Reyes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Singson just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergio Reyes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Reyes with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Reyes decides to pull guard.
Singson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reyes is keeping the position for now.
Singson wants to stand but Reyes is controlling his posture from full guard.
Singson is pushing down on Reyes's leg trying to pass to half guard. Reyes is fighting to maintain full guard but Singson has managed to sneak the leg through.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Singson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Reyes is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
Singson controlling the position easily from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Allen Singson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Reyes takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Singson has closed the distance and engaged Reyes in a clinch.

Singson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Reyes uses from the top position.

Singson pushes Reyes off and gets back to his feet.
Singson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Singson darts in and clinches Reyes up against the cage.
Reyes is trying to break the clinch but Singson is controlling him.
Reyes trying to land knees to the body.
Reyes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Singson walks away with a smile on his face. Reyes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Singson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Singson wants to sweep here but Reyes controlling him for the moment.
Singson has Reyes pulled in close to control his posture.
Singson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Singson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Allen Singson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Reyes keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Still in half guard, Singson seems content to control.
Singson moves into full mount! Reyes won't be happy about that!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Allen Singson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Singson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
