Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gus McCollom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Ochsenknecht (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McCollom might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to 5 Minutes Alone. Harry Ochsenknecht is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Ochsenknecht.
McCollom tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ochsenknecht swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ochsenknecht pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McCollom changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ochsenknecht tries to avoid it but McCollom manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ochsenknecht to the ground. Ochsenknecht escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McCollom takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Gus McCollom has been cut.

McCollom takes the fight into the clinch.

Ochsenknecht wants to get back to striking at distance but McCollom won't allow it.
McCollom has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ochsenknecht is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
McCollom lands with a short shot to the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McCollom is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Oh McCollom is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
McCollom is not content to let Ochsenknecht control the position.
The strikes coming from Ochsenknecht are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
McCollom seems to have got his legs back now.

McCollom tries to buck Ochsenknecht off but Ochsenknecht is having none of it.
McCollom is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
McCollom is trying to control but can't.
Ochsenknecht is pressing down on McCollom's thigh, looking to free his foot. McCollom is holding on for now.
McCollom is refusing to be controlled, as Ochsenknecht sits in half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
McCollom tries to clinch but Ochsenknecht is having none of it.
Ochsenknecht thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on McCollom if he has to take too many more of those.
