Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Officer Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and bruce lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that bruce lee was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Franklin misses with an uppercut.
lee misses with a wild combination.

lee fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Franklin sprawls well initially but lee persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
lee wants to stand but Franklin has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Franklin tries to roll over but lee keeps him under control.
Franklin is staying active underneath lee, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Franklin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for lee on the ground.

lee tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Franklin.
Franklin is controlling lee's trapped leg to prevent lee from advancing to side control.
lee throwing shots but Franklin is blocking nicely.
lee looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
lee content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
lee is nestled in close to Franklin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Franklin is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Franklin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

lee decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Franklin throws a jab but it's blocked by lee.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as lee checks a leg kick.
Franklin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Franklin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
lee slips under a jab.
Franklin throws a one two combo.
Franklin avoids the head kick by lee.
Franklin cracks lee with a good jab.
lee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
lee takes a jab right on the kisser.

lee is rocked!
lee throws a head kick that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Officer Franklin dominated that round.

Franklin fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but lee is out of range.
Franklin scores with a jab to the body.
Franklin misses with a hook. lee ducked under it nicely.
Franklin lands with a right hand.
lee is still on wobbly legs! Can Franklin finish him?
Officer Franklin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Franklin has cracked lee with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Franklin lands another huge swinging hook and lee tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save lee, before Franklin can land any more shots!
