The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BEAR throws a leg kick but Pierre checks it.
BEAR will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pierre shoots in but BEAR avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pierre is defended easily by BEAR.
BEAR throws a head kick but Pierre moves out of range.

Pierre shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches BEAR napping and manages to drive through into side control!
BEAR is trying to control Pierre's posture but Pierre avoids it.
Pierre controlling the position.
BEAR is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Pierre tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Pierre is breathing heavily.

Pierre decides to stand back up. Pierre steps back and let's BEAR get back to his feet.
KAWOLA BEAR seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
BEAR is looking to clinch but Pierre is avoiding it.
BEAR fails to land with a series of punches.
BEAR throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Pierre clinches.
Pierre prevents BEAR from breaking the clinch.
Pierre is pressed up against the cage. BEAR has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pierre down to the mat. Pierre avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
BEAR shoots in and drives through. Pierre sprawls well.

BEAR misses with a looping right.
Pierre shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. BEAR defends it nicely.

Pierre clinches up against the cage.
BEAR misses with a hook from the clinch.

Pierre has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed BEAR clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Pierre scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Pierre really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Pierre has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, BEAR has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

BEAR covering up well and avoiding damage.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Will Pierre go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pierre is not going to allow BEAR to sit and survive in this position.

Pierre has got one arm under BEAR's chin. This could be trouble... BEAR trying to control the other hand but Pierre gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, BEAR has tapped out! The fight is over!
