Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rex Ronson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rodney Ferguson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson shoots in but no luck this time.

Ronson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ronson lands a nice short elbow.
Ferguson trying to hold on to Ronson's head to control him but Ronson postures up.
Ferguson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Ronson is pressing down on Ferguson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ferguson is holding on for now.
Ronson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ferguson defending well though.
Ferguson looks gassed!
Ferguson trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ronson wants to free his trapped foot but Ferguson is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Ferguson is not content to let Ronson control the position.
Ronson throwing shots but Ferguson is blocking nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Still in half guard, Ronson seems content to control.
Ferguson trying to control but Ronson postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ronson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ronson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Ronson cracks Ferguson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.


It looks like Rodney Ferguson has been cut.
Rex Ronson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ronson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Ferguson swats away the attempt to clinch by Ronson.

Ronson drives through and clinches with Ferguson against the cage.
Ferguson keeps control of Ronson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Ronson working hard to break the clinch.
Ronson wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ferguson is pressed up against the cage. Ronson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ferguson down to the mat. Ferguson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A jab from Ronson does it's job there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ronson throws a nice looking combination but Ferguson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Ferguson dodges the punch combination from Ronson.
Ronson feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Ferguson crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rex Ronson!
