Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Minard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daisuke Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Minard comes into the arena with I Against I blaring out of the sound system. Suzuki has chosen Stranglehold by Ted Nugent as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Suzuki shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Minard napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Suzuki remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee asks Suzuki politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Suzuki prefers to stall for the moment though.

Suzuki goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Minard has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Suzuki but great work by Minard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Suzuki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Minard is just riding it out for now. Suzuki eventually gives up the hold.

Well Suzuki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
