The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watanabe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bananko pinned against the cage. Bananko gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Branko Bananko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Watanabe counters with a shoot takedown. Bananko fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Watanabe drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bananko dives on top into guard.

Watanabe has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bananko doesn't defend quickly enough and Watanabe has managed to lock this one up! Can Bananko escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Watanabe on a fantastic submission victory.
