Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jethro Pugh Rockefeller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John CarBobble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jethro Pugh Rockefeller has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jethro Pugh Rockefeller seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jethro Pugh Rockefeller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, John CarBobble!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockefeller circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rockefeller uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by CarBobble.
CarBobble tries to clinch up but Rockefeller circles away and keeps his distance.
Rockefeller avoids a punch combination nicely.
The fight stays on the outside here - CarBobble looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
CarBobble doesn't manage to clinch there - Rockefeller circles away.
CarBobble tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rockefeller paws at him with a jab and circles away.
CarBobble looks to land a combination but Rockefeller avoids it well.
CarBobble misses with a body shot.
Rockefeller moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like John CarBobble has been cut.
Some wild striking there from CarBobble.
CarBobble is looking to clinch.
CarBobble wants to clinch.

Rockefeller scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Rockefeller wants to free his trapped foot but CarBobble is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Rockefeller throwing shots but CarBobble is blocking nicely.
CarBobble looks like he's trying to stand up.

Rockefeller seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead CarBobble has recovered full guard.
Rockefeller in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
CarBobble really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rockefeller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rockefeller drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rockefeller jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rockefeller lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
CarBobble looks gassed!

Rockefeller drops back looking for a leg! CarBobble is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and CarBobble manages to kick Rockefeller off! Rockefeller jumps back into CarBobble's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rockefeller wants to pass the guard but CarBobble is keeping the position.
Rockefeller wants to control from the top but CarBobble keeps moving.
Rockefeller slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Rockefeller tries for a kimura but CarBobble is defending well.

Rockefeller tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rockefeller has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Rockefeller is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, CarBobble has escaped the position, nice work there.
Rockefeller in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
CarBobble takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Rockefeller cracks CarBobble with a big right hand but CarBobble just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.


CarBobble is rocked!
Rockefeller lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
CarBobble is still in real trouble! Can Rockefeller finish him?
CarBobble managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Rockefeller.
CarBobble seems to have recovered his senses.
Rockefeller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rockefeller trying to control the position but CarBobble is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rockefeller is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because CarBobble is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Rockefeller tries for a kimura but CarBobble is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jethro Pugh Rockefeller dominated that round.
The cut man is working on John CarBobble's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


CarBobble throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Rockefeller counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


That has opened up John CarBobble's cut even more.
Rockefeller scores with a hook to the body. CarBobble takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
CarBobble throws a leg kick that is checked

and Rockefeller counters with a takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rockefeller in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and CarBobble looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Rockefeller turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jethro Pugh Rockefeller!
