The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palhares lands with a good body shot.
Sapp swings for the body but Palhares moves out of range.
Palhares swats away the attempt to clinch by Sapp.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Palhares changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sapp tries to avoid it but Palhares manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sapp to the ground. Sapp escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Palhares loads up on a big right hand but Sapp slips the punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Palhares changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sapp looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

You can see the frustration on Sapp's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Palhares is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sapp knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
