PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spazzy Magee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spazzy Magee told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Spazzy Magee!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Morrison looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Magee rushes Morrison and presses him up against the cage.

Magee tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Morrison smiles and moves away.

and Morrison counters with a takedown into side control.
Magee is looking to reverse the position.

Morrison is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Magee knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Morrison tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Morrison scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Magee manages to mount him!
Magee can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Morrison is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Magee is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Morrison has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Morrison looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Magee has picked Morrison up and slammed him! Morrison can't keep hold of the triangle and Magee manages to pass to side control!

Magee wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Morrison, who protects the arm well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Magee cracks Morrison with a big right hand but Morrison just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Spazzy Magee dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Magee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Morrison looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Morrison tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Magee cranks the arm and Morrison screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Morrison, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
