Cobretti is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Frank Sinatra - Fly me to the moon. Marion Cobretti has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Forrest Penn's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Forrest Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marion Cobretti!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn takes one on the chin but keeps coming.


It looks like Forrest Penn has been cut.
Penn moves out of range of the body kick.
Cobretti misses with a takedown attempt - Penn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cobretti bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Cobretti shoots in but Penn avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cobretti shoots for a double leg takedown but Penn sprawls well. He's pushed Cobretti's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Forrest Penn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marion Cobretti.
Cobretti throws a sloppy head kick and Penn moves out of range easily.

Cobretti drives through with a takedown into guard.
Penn wants to stand but Cobretti is controlling the position.

Forrest Penn has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Cobretti shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Penn as he jumps to the side.

Penn rushes Cobretti and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Penn lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Penn lands a body shot in the clinch.
Penn stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Penn misses with some punches.
Cobretti changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Penn fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Cobretti shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Penn defends it nicely.
Cobretti is trying hard to land a takedown here. Penn sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Cobretti looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Penn fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cobretti has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Penn scores with a jab to the head.
Penn thuds a left hand into Cobretti's body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Horrible takedown by Cobretti or perhaps it was just good defense by Penn which made him look bad.
Cobretti walks into a jab.
Marion Cobretti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penn dips to his left and cracks Cobretti with an uppercut!
Cobretti chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Penn can pounce on him.
Cobretti takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Penn closes the distance and clinches.
Penn throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Penn scores with a hook to the body.
Come on Penn - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Penn makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A right handed body shot lands from Penn.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Cobretti's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Penn presses Cobretti against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Penn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A nice leg kick lands there from Penn.
Penn tests Cobretti's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Penn lands an overhand right.
Penn lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cobretti takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Penn walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Cobretti drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Penn swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Cobretti's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Forrest Penn!
