The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy fails in his attempt to clinch.

Bulldog fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hardy sprawls well initially but Bulldog persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bulldog perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bulldog is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Bulldog is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Bulldog postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Hardy to stand up.

Bulldog shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Bulldog wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bulldog takes a knee to the side of the body.

A close second round but Branislav Bulldog will probably get the nod - 10:9.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hardy tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Bulldog avoids it.
Hardy scores a nice knee to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bulldog has Hardy pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hardy manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
