Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between jack jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dolfh Ziggler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dolfh Ziggler!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Ziggler does no damage.

jackson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ziggler sprawls well initially but jackson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

jackson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ziggler is just riding it out for now. jackson eventually gives up the hold.
Ziggler scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but jackson manages to mount him!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ziggler avoids a series of strikes thrown by jackson.
Ziggler's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Ziggler defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from jackson.
Ziggler is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ziggler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ziggler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ziggler throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dolfh Ziggler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ziggler looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ziggler lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Ziggler tries to sprawl out of it but jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ziggler manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for jack jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

jack jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to jack jackson.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
