Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Mendonca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Uala Uei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Uei shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Uei showed some decent athleticism there.
Mendonca wants to get back to his feet.
Mendonca is not content to let Uei control the position.
Uei controlling the pace.
Mendonca looks like he's trying to stand up.

Uei prevents Mendonca from standing back up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Uei fails in his attempt to clinch.
Uei shoots in and drives through. Mendonca sprawls well.
Mendonca throws a sloppy head kick and Uei moves out of range easily.
Mendonca throws a push kick but Uei slaps the foot to one side.

Uei is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mendonca gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Uei moves out of range of the body kick from Mendonca.
Mendonca is looking to land body kicks.
Mendonca throws a sloppy head kick and Uei moves out of range easily.

Uei changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mendonca tries to avoid it but Uei manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mendonca to the ground. Mendonca escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Leonardo Mendonca has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Uala Uei.
Uei misses with a two punch combination.
Mendonca lands with a nice body kick.
Uei looks gassed!
Horrible takedown by Uei or perhaps it was just good defense by Mendonca which made him look bad.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mendonca.
Uei checks a leg kick nicely.

Mendonca misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Uei.

Mendonca gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Uei postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mendonca is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Uei, into his guard.
Mendonca tries to stand but Uei is controlling from the bottom.
Uei is trying to hold Mendonca in close to prevent damage but Mendonca has managed to pass into half guard.
Uei is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mendonca's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mendonca's back!
Uei just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Uei is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Uei gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Uei gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Uei apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Uei fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mendonca sprawls well initially but Uei persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Mendonca is trying to stand back up but Uei is controlling him
Uei slows the pace down in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Uei passes to side control.
Uei looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mendonca is avoiding damage well.

Uei stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Mendonca throws a head kick that misses.

Uei lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Mendonca misses with an attempted mid kick.
Uei tries for a takedown but Mendonca sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Uei drives through with a takedown into guard.
Uei controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Mendonca pushes Uei off and gets back to his feet.
A head kick by Mendonca - that's a beauty! Uei is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Mendonca can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
