Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Austin Houston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Houston comes to the cage accompanied by Born of a Broken Man. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Austin Houston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Rua!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Houston's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Rua connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Houston scrambles back to his feet.
Rua doesn't manage to clinch there - Houston circles away.
Houston fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rua manages to avoid it.
Rua moves in looking to clinch but Houston pushes him off.
Rua takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Rua throws a leg kick but Houston sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Rua shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Rua lands a big shot there that rocks Houston but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rua loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Houston scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Rua land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Rua stands and salutes the crowd.
