Smoker has chosen Chemical Heart as his entrance music. Jim Smoker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
del Vecchio takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
del Vecchio scores with a leg kick.

Smoker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. del Vecchio looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
del Vecchio dodges the ground and pound from Smoker.
del Vecchio tries to improve position but can't.
An elbow from Smoker crashes against the mat.
Smoker throws a strike aimed at the side of del Vecchio's head but del Vecchio avoids it well.
del Vecchio can't do much from the bottom here.

Smoker tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Smoker misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Smoker looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
del Vecchio throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smoker.

That's one minute gone in the round.
del Vecchio misses with a few strikes there.
del Vecchio throws a shot to the body.
Smoker looks gassed!

del Vecchio cracks Smoker with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. del Vecchio has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Smoker to stand back up!

It looks like Jim Smoker has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
del Vecchio throws a nice inside leg kick.
del Vecchio is looking to slow Smoker down with leg kicks.
del Vecchio swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
del Vecchio connects with a nice looking jab.

Smoker is rocked!
del Vecchio grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Smoker takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! del Vecchio cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
