Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Guillaume Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Konstantin Snegov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Konstantin Snegov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Guillaume Blue!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Konstantin Snegov!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blue has a takedown stuffed.
Blue lands a jab to Snegov's midsection.
Blue looks to score with a jab to the body but Snegov is just out of range.
Blue loads up on a big right hand but Snegov slips the punch.

Snegov closes the distance and clinches.
Blue has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Snegov throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Blue blocks it with crossed arms.
Snegov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Blue prevents it.
Blue has had enough of the clinch but Snegov keeps him there for the moment.
Blue tries to break free but Snegov pushes him back against the cage.
Snegov with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Blue wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Snegov has him pressed against the cage.

Snegov is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Blue gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Snegov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Blue tries to break free but Snegov pushes him back against the cage.
Snegov has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Blue avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Guillaume Blue has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Konstantin Snegov.

Snegov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Blue fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Snegov feints and as Blue raises his hands in defense, Snegov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Snegov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Blue lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Snegov!
Snegov looks gassed!
Blue is trying to take his opponent's back.
Snegov regains half guard.

Blue wants to work for an arm triangle but Snegov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Snegov works his way to full guard. Good work.

Blue stands and throws Snegov's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Blue tries to advance to mount but Snegov denies him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snegov is looking to reverse the position.
Snegov prevents Blue from moving into mount.
Blue is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Snegov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Blue tries to get to full guard but Snegov has control of the leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Blue gets back to full guard.

Snegov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Snegov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blue swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Blue had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Snegov defends it easily.

Snegov drops back looking for a leg! Blue is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Blue manages to kick Snegov off! Snegov jumps back into Blue's guard.
Blue wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Snegov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Blue looking for a guillotine here but Snegov defends easily.
Snegov advances position into side control!
Blue manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Snegov is keen to just control but Blue is a slippery customer.
Snegov is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Snegov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Blue is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Konstantin Snegov will probably get the nod.

Snegov closes the distance and clinches up with Blue, looking for a takedown. Snegov pushes Blue against the cage but Blue circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Blue decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Blue passes to side control.
Snegov prevents Blue from improving position.

Blue is working to tighten is grip on Snegov's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Snegov has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Blue is really squeezing tight and eventually Snegov passes out! Blue breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
