Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yusuf Akumi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Maxwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ken Maxwell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yusuf Akumi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ken Maxwell!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akumi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Maxwell tries to avoid it but Akumi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Maxwell to the ground. Maxwell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Akumi dives in and grabs Maxwell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maxwell pushes down on Akumi's head and hops out.
Maxwell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Akumi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Akumi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Maxwell defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yusuf Akumi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Akumi fails to land the takedown.
Maxwell drops Akumi with a left and a right! Oh, Akumi is hurt - Maxwell dives into side control looking to finish!
Maxwell stands up and beckons Akumi to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Maxwell drops Akumi with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Akumi! Maxwell dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (strikes). Ken Maxwell!
