Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Spaniard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and nelly deviod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
deviod is looking to clinch.
Spaniard dodges the punch combination from deviod.

deviod gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Spaniard to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Spaniard slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
deviod is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
deviod is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
deviod really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spaniard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
deviod is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Spaniard drops back looking for a leg! deviod is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and deviod manages to kick Spaniard off! Spaniard jumps back into deviod's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Spaniard postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! deviod is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Spaniard, into his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
deviod is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Spaniard.
deviod waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Spaniard.

Spaniard closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming deviod to the mat! deviod manages to get full guard.

Spaniard has gone for a leg lock! deviod slips out almost immediately though and dives into Spaniard's guard.

deviod has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Spaniard is proving hard to escape from.

Spaniard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. deviod doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. deviod manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Spaniard closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Spaniard wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by deviod, who protects the arm well.

Spaniard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Spaniard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Spaniard decides to stand up, so the ref orders deviod to his feet.
deviod tries to land a front kick but Spaniard steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

No joy there for deviod, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
deviod tries to clinch but Spaniard is having none of it.

Spaniard closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Spaniard has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Spaniard is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! deviod is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
