Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Range (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chase kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is All the Above - Maino. John Chase has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Range!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Range shoots in for a takedown but Chase shows good takedown defense.
Chase scores with a body shot.
Range uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chase.
Chase tries to clinch but Range moves out of range.
Range shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chase as he avoids it easily.
Chase moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Chase throws a looping overhand right but Range ducks down to avoid it.
Range uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Chase.

Chase closes the distance and clinches.
Chase stalling.
Chase gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Range goes for a takedown attempt but Chase pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Chase throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Chase lands a nice shot that snaps Range's head back.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Range has a takedown stuffed.
Range slips a jab and a cross from Chase.
Range circles away from the clinch attempt.
Chase just misses with a punch to the body.
Chase misses the shot to the body.
Chase cracks Range with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Range shoots in for a takedown but Chase shows good takedown defense.
Chase lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Range takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Range shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Chase's guard.
Range is fighting to break Chase's control of his arms but Chase is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chase pulls Range in close to prevent any damage.

Range shoots for a takedown but Chase saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

and Range takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Chase fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Range manages to avoid it.
Chase is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Range jumps guard but Chase stands there with Range around his waist. Range gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Chase - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Chase has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Range uses from the top position.
Chase is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Carl Range has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Chase is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Range is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
