The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quater keeps Hernandez at a distance using the push kick.
Quater throws a jab but it's blocked by Hernandez.
Hernandez connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Hernandez scores with the left hand. Quater knows he should have avoided that one.
Nate Quater seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hernandez blocks a head kick by Quater.
Quater misses with a straight right.
Quater moves away from the strike by Hernandez.
Hernandez tries to bum rush Quater with a series of wild strikes but Quater uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A slow jab from Quater misses its intended target.
Quater thuds his shin into the meat of Hernandez's side.
Hernandez is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Quater lands a big head kick that sends Hernandez tumbling to the mat! Quater takes a step backwards and waves Hernandez back to his feet - he wants the finish!

A head kick by Quater - that's a beauty! Hernandez is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Quater can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
